Description of the Volcano Tajogaite guided route:
Discover the new volcano of La Palma, Tajogaite, and its consequences. The land cracked on the 19th of September 2021 and created the youngest land of the Continent. Its consequences are like the two sides of a coin.
The uglier side being the destruction of homes and working places of many local families of which only their memories from living there remain.
The prettier side, being able to see mother nature, the strongest force on this planet and its ability to create such overwhelming landscape in only several months.
On our tour, we will take you to the top, back side of the volcano Tajogaite on a 6.5 Km route through a comfortable path from where we can observe the force of the volcano.
The path starts from the first historic volcano registered on 1480, Tacande volcano or known by the locals as “La montaña Quemada” (the Burnt Mountain).
We will also project a video about the volcanic eruption (2021) of volcano Tajogaite made by Saúl Santos.

Very pleasant experience : our guide was a very professional young woman and we learned a lot with her. Taxis were friendly too.
As we where not supposed to join this T.O. and visit (the one we had previously booked had cancelled), the Outdoor Experience Agency made its best to contact and inform us.
I recommend.

Definitely book this. You won't be sorry when you see the amazing view and as our guide pour it, "you're walking on some of the newest ground on earth!" Nice, small group ! Transportation provided up to the starting point (about 10 minutes) which was a nice way to start the day. Very knowledgeable, self-invested and friendly guide. Spoke Spanish and English for us. Provided images of before, during and after the eruption which helped us visualize and understand what we were seeing. A very easy to manage walk with interesting stops along the way and opportunities to take photos. For us in our 60's (but think we're still 40!), this was the perfect mix of exercise and exploration. This really opened our eyes to the uniqueness of La Palma and would highly recommend this activity!

Amazing tour along the back of the volcano. Great guide (Steven) who speaks at least Spanish and German (i bet English too) who had great explanations and human stories about the eruption. Well worth it.
BRING A WARM JACKET WITH YOU, its colder than you may think.
