Tour description
Enjoy a kayak excursion in La Palma from the spectacular Porís de Candelaria to the stunning Cueva Bonita, on the coast of Tijarafe.
Cueva Bonita is one of the most iconic natural gems of La Palma and the entire Canary Islands archipelago. Accessible only by sea, discovering it by kayak is a unique, safe, and exciting experience that allows you to explore it calmly from a privileged perspective.
The route begins at Porís de Candelaria, a unique enclave where old fishermen’s houses are integrated inside a large cave at sea level, creating a spectacular landscape full of history and tradition. From there, we will paddle along the volcanic coastline until reaching Cueva Bonita. If sea conditions allow, we will enter inside to admire its impressive natural formation, its silence, and its majesty.
During the kayak excursion, we will also discover hidden beaches, natural pools, and coves, enjoying the crystal-clear and calm waters of La Palma’s west coast.
The activity ends by returning to Porís de Candelaria after an unforgettable experience among cliffs, sea caves, and unique volcanic landscapes.

How to get to Porís de Candelaria
We know that access to Porís may seem complicated, but don’t worry. The road is perfectly safe if you drive carefully. The route descends from the main road along a paved track with sharp bends and a steep slope. Although it may feel impressive the first time, it is a well-maintained road used daily by vehicles. We recommend driving slowly, using low gears on the descent, and enjoying the spectacular cliff views. At the bottom, you will find a parking area. The journey from the main road takes about 10–15 minutes. If you prefer, we can provide detailed directions via WhatsApp before your visit.

Your safety is our priority. All participants receive a life jacket and a briefing before starting. In summer, La Palma’s west coast enjoys exceptionally calm sea conditions.
